Coaches

Drew Vyn

 

College Bio from last year.

THIS SEASON: Vyn enters his final season at USC as a dangerous lefty with speed and skill on the perimeter as well as strong defensive abilities.

2006: Vyn put up 22 goals in his first season at USC... Scored in 13 games with six multiple-goal efforts... Had three hat tricks (vs. Santa Clara, Pomona-Pitzer, UC Santa Cruz).

AT GOLDEN WEST: Vyn helped Golden West to conference and Southern California crowns in 2004 and 2005... Scored 132 goals and had 84 assists at Golden West... Earned all-conference first team honors both seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL: Vyn recorded 137 goals, 76 steals and 27 assists as a senior at Irvine High... Holds school's all-time scoring record with 265 goals... Named to All-CIF First Team as a senior and earned honorable mention as a junior... An all-league first-teamer as a senior and junior... Plays club for South Pacific Coast.

PERSONAL: Vyn is majoring in sociology... Parents are...Laurie and Jeff... Would like to become a firefighter... Lists Michael Jordan as his biggest sports hero... Birthdate is April 25, 1986. 

Alex Donavan

 

Alex is a current Concordia Student/Athlete.  Is a starter for the Concordia Water Polo Team, his accomplishments include:

 

Won 7 Australian national championships from Under 14 through Under 20

 

Australian youth National team 2002 and 2003

 

Australian Schoolboys National team 2002 and 2003

 

Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder 2002 and 2003

 

Australian junior National Team 2004 and 2005

 

Played 6 seasons in Australian National League 2002 - 2007

 

Paige Svehlak

 

Northwood Girls Water Polo Alumni.  Was the team captain

winter 2009.  She was named 1st team all Sea View League her

junior and senior years.  Paige was a 2 year NHS girls MVP and

was named to the All Irvine City Team 2009 by the Irvine World

News.  

Paige also led the timberwolves to the most successful season in NHS girls water polo history.
